Mason Rudolph Becomes Just Second Oklahoma State Player Ever with 10,000 Yards
This got lost in the TCU loss a few weeks ago, but Mason Rudolph surpassed the 10,000-yard mark to join Zac Robinson as the only two players in the 10K club (combined passing and rushing yards. It came on this throw to Marcell Ateman in the second quarter two weeks ago. That pushed him to 10,002 career yards.
Rudolph is now over 10,000 yards passing (which is where the majority, like 99 percent, of his yards have come from), but he’s also in the black when it comes to rushing after a 50-yard performance at Texas Tech last weekend.
The breakdown in passing yardage and rushing yardage between him an Robinson is pretty different, but they both got to 10K, which is something no other player in OSU history can say. Brandon Weeden is third with 9,110 yards.
| Player | Pass Yards | Percentage | Rush Yards | Percentage | Total Yards |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Mason Rudolph | 10,623 | 99.5% | 53 | 0.5% | 10,676 |
| Zac Robinson | 8,317 | 81.7% | 1,858 | 18.3% | 10,175 |
| Brandon Weeden | 9,260 | 101.6% | -150 | -1.6% | 9,110 |
And now, Rudolph has his eyes set on pretty much every record in Oklahoma State school history.
