Mason Rudolph Named Big 12 Offensive Player of the Week
Save for a costly interception that was returned 95 yards for a touchdown early in the game Saturday, Mason Rudolph was near-perfect in OSU’s win over Texas Tech in Lubbock.
He finished 27-of-38 with 376 yards passing and accounted for all 5 of the Cowboys scores in the 41-34 win, earning him Big 12 weekly honors as the offensive player of the week. It’s the fifth time he has earned Big 12 weekly honors in his career and the second time in 2017.

Rudolph completed passes to eight different receivers against Texas Tech, including touchdown passes to three different receivers. He also led OSU on a game-winning drive and rushed for the go-ahead TD that sealed the win.
“They started traveling from behind, running us down from behind. And that happens to our offense because we don’t have a running quarterback,” said Mike Gundy on Saturday. “Coaches make that adjustment, and then Mason was willing to run the ball effectively. And really the end of the game is what changed the game — nobody to block the last man on the line. So he did a good job making the adjustment. Mason had 11 carries for 55 yards. So good day for him. Good day for all of us.”
