Matt Holliday Takes 95 MPH Fastball Off Nose
All I can say is that this could have been a lot worse. Matt Holliday took a fastball off the face on Thursday, but thankfully it only grazed his nose and didn’t explode all over his eyes and mouth as well. Holliday, dripping blood, actually tried to stay in the game but was eventually removed for obvious reasons.
Here are a few different looks at the incident as well as an update from the Cardinals at the bottom (he’s day to day!)

Matt Holliday didn't touch home plate, but this one definitely got him straight in the nose. pic.twitter.com/a0hbmJsCII
