Mike Boynton Following Texas A&M Game: ‘Losing is Unacceptable’
Oklahoma State got thumped by Texas A&M on Monday in Brooklyn in the semifinals of the Legends Classic 72-55. The Aggies led by 17 at halftime, and OSU never got within single digits in the second half.
It was a clock-cleaning, and it was more or less expected. That doesn’t mean head coach Mike Boynton is happy about it. After the game, he called losing in the Oklahoma State program “unacceptable.”
Mike Boynton on what he's looking for tomorrow (via #okstate radio broadcast): "I want to see us compete. I want to see us dig down and see by the way we play that tonight hurts, because losing is unacceptable in this program."

I like that. A little ??? four games in. At least he’s not acting like Yankuba Sima is Wilt Chamberlain and talking about how good OSU will be in the future. He wants OSU to be good now. They probably won’t be this year, but I’m in on the mindset.
“Texas A&M is a really good team first and foremost and credit to them,” added Boynton. “I don’t know if that was their best game, but they played pretty well.
“They were just better than us today and the good thing about this set up is we get to bounce back tomorrow, pretty quick turnaround, but we’ve got to own the night that we were just beat and we have to get better tomorrow.”
Oklahoma State plays Pitt today at 2:30 on ESPNU.
