Mike Mayock says Emmanuel Ogbah “Made a statement” at Combine
Emmanuel Ogbah shined on one of the biggest workout stages in the world on Sunday, finishing second among all defensive linemen in the 40-yard dash and vertical jump, and third in the broad jump.
“Emmanuel Ogbah made a statement today,” NFL Network analyst Mike Mayock said on the broadcast Sunday.
Ogbah exceeded expectations coming into the combine by starting off with a lightning quick 4.65 unofficial 40, followed by a 4.62 40. His official time, 4.63, is faster than 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick and standout defensive back Josh Norman, a defensive player of the year candidate for Carolina.
As you can tell from the video, some analysts are skeptical about his raw talent, tagging him as “highly inconsistent”, but his impressive workout in Indianapolis on Sunday should be a huge boost to his draft stock.
