A former Fargo champ is headed to Stillwater.
Tagen Jamison, who redshirted at Minnesota this past season, announced via his Instagram on Monday that he is committed to Oklahoma State. Jamison was a state finalist at Durant as a high school freshman before moving to Plano, Texas, where he won two Texas state titles. He finished his high school career with a 124-4 record.
Jamison was also the 2021 USAW Freestyle Fargo national champion at 138 pounds, and he was a U20 All-American at 65KG after finishing third at the 2022 U.S. Open.
Jamison was a freshman at Minnesota this past season, listed at 141 pounds on the Golden Gophers’ roster. Carter Young started at 141 pounds for the Cowboys this past season, going 15-14. Young is a two-time NCAA qualifier at the weight.
Jamison becomes the second Golden Gopher to make the jump to Stillwater this offseason, joining 125-pounder Troy Spratley. OSU also added Northern Illinois All-American Izzak Olejnik (165 pounds) out of the transfer portal this offseason.
