Who he is: The best receiver in the country. The best player in the Big 12. And if he comes close to repeating what he did last year I might have to give him the “best WR in Oklahoma State history” tag.

Sorry Rashaun, really I am, but this is next level stuff…we can still go fishing together, right? Rashaun….Rashaun? Hello?”

What he does: Pick a stat: most receptions in a season, most receiving TDs in a season, most receiving yards in a season, most consecutive games over 100 yards receiving, most consecutive games with a receiving TD and if he stays another two years (we can dream, right?) he’ll basically put every career WR record completely out of reach.

Where he fits in: He embodies what this program is about. He was a 3-star longshot who turned himself into something spectacular on the biggest stage. That is OSU. That’s who we are. We aren’t 5-star recruits and national hype and a sports media warlord. My favorite Justin Blackmon moment from last year came when Gundy ran him up in front of the media last year to take responsibility for his DUI in Dallas. Refreshing stuff from the best athlete in the state.

Why he matters: Thankfully games are starting in two days because I’ve completely run out of things to say about this dude. He’s the second most important guy on what will probably turn out to be the most important team in the history of the program. He’s mature, he’s funny, he works hard, he gets better, and he’s the best in the world at his position in his sport at this level.

I don’t care what Kenny Stills says.
