After an eventful early signing period and transfer portal haul, Oklahoma State is set to put the finishing touches on its 2023 signing class Wednesday as the regular signing period opens.

Entering the day, OSU has a trio of unsigned prospects committed, and there could be a Signing Day surprise or two (update: Broken Arrow offensive lineman Jamison Mejia committed to OSU). Follow along as we keep you up-to-date with OSU’s new signees.

Jalen Pope

Aledo, Texas / WR / 6-0, 185
Other offers: Tulsa, Air Force and others

A Texas 5A state champ in 2022, Pope had 64 catches for 1,252 yards and 14 touchdowns as a senior. He was the offensive MVP in Aledo’s state championship win against College Station, caching eight passes for 229 yards and three touchdowns. Pope had committed to Air Force on Dec. 15 before flipping that commitment to the Cowboys on Jan. 15. He is a three-star prospect, according to the 247Sports Composite rankings, and is listed as the No. 1,360 player in the class.

Tykie Andrews

Enid, Oklahoma / WR / 6-1, 185
Other offers: Navy, Drake and Dartmouth

Tykie Andrews caught 135 passes for 1,551 yards and 17 touchdowns as a senior at Enid High School under former Oklahoma State All-American Rashaun Woods. Oklahoma State came with an offer Jan. 8, and it didn’t take Andrews long to pick OSU, doing so Jan. 14. Despite the high level of production at the high school level, Andrews is unranked on the major recruiting services.

Jamison Mejia

Broken Arrow, Oklahoma / OL / 6-5, 280
Other offers: Virginia, Tulsa, Tulane, Arkansas State and others

The Cowboys made a late push from Broken Arrow lineman Jamison Mejia after he wrapped up an official visit at Virginia. The Cowboys offered him a scholarship and got him on campus before a big of Signing Day wonder saw him land in Stillwater. Mejia played left tackle for the Tigers this past season, earning a spot on The Oklahoman‘s All-State squad. He is a three-star prospect, according to 247Sports.

Sesi Vailahi

Salt Lake City, Utah / RB / 5-11, 195
Other offers: BYU, Nevada, Utah State and others

Vailahi played at running back and wide receiver for West High School in Salt Lake City. He finished his senior season with 240 rushing yards on 32 carries, 607 receiving yards on 24 catches and 13 total touchdowns. Also playing defense, Vailahi also recorded 48 tackles, four tackles for loss, 1.5 sacks, 11 pass breakups, an interception, a forced fumble and a pair of fumble recoveries. OSU and BYU each made a late push at him, but Vailahi picked the Pokes on Friday.
