Newcomer Tracker: Jarrick Bernard’s Big-Play Ability a Difference-Maker vs. Boise

on

Only three true freshmen saw the field on Saturday as Oklahoma State routed Boise State.

While the trio isn’t big in numbers, playing them made a tangible impact, most notably in Jarrick Bernard, who played a key role as a backup safety. He also blocked a punt in the game and thrust himself into the spotlight as a promising up-and-comer in Knowles’ system. He even joined Jordan Brailford and Calvin Bundage’s sack party.

“I told [Jarrick Bernard] if he was of age, he’d be a big hit in the clubs tonight,” Gundy said Saturday after OSU’s win. “He’s gonna have to go to the Mickey Mouse Club because he’s only 18.”

Let’s get an updated look at Bernard’s season stat line along with the rest of the newcomers’ impact through three games.
