Notebook: Oklahoma State-Kansas State

Five thoughts are here. Here are the rest of my notes (there aren’t many!)

• We play to the level of our opponents. Somebody tweeted this during the game, and it is certainly true. OSU under Travis Ford is one of the more extreme home/road teams probably in Big 12 history too.

• My favorite Travis Ford Face is “my dudes just did something I’ve told them 3 million times not to do but I don’t want to drop an f-bomb on national television so I’m going to make the bitter beer face and try to not explode” face.

• Here’s your answer on whether KSU’s Budke is related to our Budkes.

• Jawun Evans’ shoe game is pretty strong. Not as strong as his actual game. But still great.

• Here’s probably the best play of the game for OSU.

• Here’s an appropriate recap of the game: Davon Dillard played. No offense to Davon (he actually played pretty well!)

• Can anyone in the Big 12 not wearing black and white stripes guard Jawun Evans? I say no.

• I think I just got called for a foul while typing this sentence.

• Bold!

• Travis Ford took his tie off at during halftime. This seems notable for reasons I cannot explain.

• To be somewhat fair, this was pretty awesome.

• The Keiton Page Memorial offense featuring Phil Forte has morphed into the Marcus Smart Memorial offense featuring Jawun Evans which I’m OK with. It’s actually probably our best option.

• Yep.

• I imagine Bill Self watching this game muttering unspeakable things to himself.

• Here are your halftime stats!
