Wednesday was an easy day to root for Oklahoma State.

OSU teams went 5-0 on Wednesday as every team competing in a matchup won: men’s basketball, women’s basketball, baseball, softball and men’s tennis. The only other team competing was men’s golf, which finished fifth at the Watersound Invitational.

There has been consistent success throughout OSU athletics this semester, as the department last week had seven teams currently in action ranked inside the top 25 of its respective sport. Four of those teams — women’s tennis (No. 1), wrestling (No. 2), softball (No. 4) and women’s indoor track and field (No. 4) — were in the top five.

Cowboy tennis started Wednesday with a 4-1 win over Tulane for its sixth-straight victory. Men’s tennis is off to its best start since the 2015-16 season at 10-2.

Cowgirl softball was next with a comeback victory to avoid an upset to Stetson 11-6 in DeLand, Florida. OSU gets right back to action against Washington at 12:30 p.m. Thursday after fighting off the upset to improve to 8-2.

Cowgirl basketball was the only team in Stillwater, beating UCF 67-54 in Gallagher-Iba Arena. The Cowgirls are back to .500 at 13-13 with Bedlam looming at 1 p.m. Saturday in Norman. That game will be televised on FOX.

Cowboy basketball also beat a Big 12 newcomer, notching its first true road win of the season against Cincinnati, 80-76. The Cowboys have won back-to-back games for the first time this calendar year. And like the women, the Cowboys also have Bedlam next at 3 p.m. Saturday in GIA.

The last OSU victory of the day came from the baseball team, which beat Abilene Christian 8-4 in its first of four games this week at Globe Life Field in Arlington for the Kubota College Baseball Series. The Cowboys will enjoy a day of rest after getting to .500 at 2-2 before returning to Globe Life Field to play Michigan at 3 p.m. Friday.
