Oklahoma State Captures Sixth Top 10 Win in Mike Gundy Era
Oklahoma State won in convincing fashion over No. 10 West Virginia on Saturday afternoon, 37-20, as the Pokes relied on their defense to force three turnovers and hold them to their second lowest points output on the year.
The Mountaineers rolled into town undefeated and No. 10 in the AP poll, and left to become part of another glorious stat for Mike Gundy during his tenure. They are now the sixth top 10 team that has been knocked off by Mike Gundy’s Cowboys. Here’s the other five:
- At Mizzou (2008 — No. 3)
- at Texas A&M (2011 — No. 8)
- Stanford (2011 — No. 4)
- Baylor (2013 — No. 3)
- TCU (2015 — No. 5)
Quite an accomplishment for Mike Gundy and his crew, and icing on the cake is that it makes win No. 100 for the head ball coach on Saturday. Let the good times roll in Stillwater.
