Oklahoma State Extends Offer to Missouri OL Monroe Mills

Oklahoma State coach Charlie Dickey is canvassing the country in search of his next (and likely final) offensive line recruit to fill his 2020 class at quota.

Just last week, it was Texas Tech pledge Larry Moore who was the targeted subject, picking up an offer shortly after his pledge. This week, it’s Missouri product Monroe Mills from Columbia, Missouri, with the latest OSU offer.

Mills is a 6-7, 291-pound tackle who has already garnered offers from the programs you’d expect: Illinois, Iowa State, Kansas, and, of course, Missouri. 21 schools in total have offered — 12 since May.

“It’s been a surreal experience,” Mills told 247Sports of his recruitment recently. “My dream was to play in college, but I didn’t think I’d be able to as a kid. I’m so blessed and so lucky to have this opportunity. It’s crazy. I took a huge step in getting stronger and faster and it’s paying off this summer.”

With a breakout summer nearly on its way to hurtling towards a breakout fall at the rate of his rise, Mills seems intent on plugging up the process and committing. OSU seems to be in at just the right time, in fact, with a commitment coming sooner rather than later.

“I’m thinking about making a decision pretty here soon,” Mills said in his 247 interview. “I want to make it before the season starts so that the recruitment process can be slowed down and I can focus on my season. It’s always important to find the right fit.”

OSU has 13 commitments in its 2020 recruiting class, and three are from offensive linemen.
