Oklahoma State became Johnny Dickson’s first offer Wednesday, but the Cowboys definitely won’t be his last.

Dickson, a 2022 offensive lineman, announced his OSU offer via Twitter. That makes him the 12th O-linemen the Pokes have offered in the cycle, including current commit Kelvin Banks.

Here is what we know about Dickson.

Who is He?

Dickson is a 6-foot-3, 280-pound guard. He hails from Corpus Christi by way of Flour Bluff High School.

In Dickson’s sophomore season, Flour Bluff finished 8-4, falling by just 4 points to Wagner in the second round of the 5A D1 State Playoffs. Wagner made it all the way to the semifinals.

247Sports lists Dickson as a guard — and at 6-3, that’s probably where he projects at the college level — but he plays left tackle for Flour Bluff. He is an athletic mauler. In the 2:54 worth of his sophomore season highlights, he put 21 defenders on the ground.

Others Involved

Although OSU is his first offer, 247Sports reports that Dickson also has interest from Texas A&M.

In the Rankings

Dickson isn’t yet ranked in the 2022 class, but with his first offer being from a Power Five school, that will likely change quickly.

OSU in 2022

The Cowboys’ offensive line will look a lot different in 2021, much less 2022. Going into this 2020 season, OSU will have seven upperclassmen O-linemen on its roster, so all of those guys would be gone by the time the 2022 class gets to campus.

By then, the likes of Bryce Bray, Hunter Anthony and Jacob Farrell will likely be the group’s standouts.
