Oklahoma State Lands D-II All-American Wide Receiver Transfer Cam Abshire
The Cowboys landed a productive playmaker on the outside.
The Cowboys got a big pass catcher from the D-II ranks.
Cameron Abshire, a large, productive target of a wideout, has committed to Oklahoma State following a visit to Stillwater earlier in the week.
Former Emory & Henry all-conference wide receiver Cam Abshire has committed to Oklahoma State, his agency @QCSports tells @chris_hummer and me.

The 6-foot-4, 185-pound D-II All-American racked up 1,057 yards and 13 touchdowns for Emory & Henry this past season, and he was just a sophomore. That means that Abshire will have two years of eligibility as he steps up to the Power Four level. The Pokes have had success calling up ranging playmakers on the outside in the past. See: Leon Johnson.
Abshire announced an OSU offer on March 29 and then news of his visit in Stillwater this past Monday came out last week. He also had visits scheduled for Colorado and Missouri this month, but it appears his trip to OSU was enough to make his decision.
Coming out of Roanoke, Virginia, Abshire took a redshirt year at Emory & Henry before exploding on the scene as a freshman, hauling in 38 passes for 661 yards and six scores. Then his star continued to rise as a sophomore last year, earning him D-II All-American Honorable Mention.
Take a peek at Abshire’s 2024 highlights.
