Oklahoma State Makes Top 5 for Three-Star Cornerback Zachaun Williams
Could the Cowboys be closing in on their first corner in the 2024 class?

The Cowboys have been on a roll on the recruiting trail defensively, and that could continue.
Zachaun Williams, a cornerback prospect from Tyler, Texas, announced his Top 5 on Wednesday: Oklahoma State, Arkansas, Texas Tech, Memphis and Tulsa. On3 lists Williams at 6-foot-1, 170 pounds, but he lists himself at 6-2, 186 on Twitter.
He is a three-star prospect, ranked as the No. 1,031 player in the 247Sports Composite rankings. That makes him the No. 88 corner in the class and the No. 149 player from the state of Texas.
As a high school junior in 2022, Williams had 13 pass breakups and three interceptions to go with his 39 tackles. He has eight interceptions and 32 pass breakups in the past two seasons.
Williams announced his Oklahoma State offer in March of 2022, and he has been on OSU’s campus a few times since then. He was in Stillwater in April of 2022, and Williams took in Oklahoma State’s homecoming win against Texas this past season.
The Cowboys have 13 commitments in their 2024 class, eight of which are defenders. Three of those commits are safeties, but the Cowboys don’t yet have a corner committed.
