Oklahoma State checked in at No. 21 in the first AP Poll of the 2016 season. It was No. 19 in the Coaches Poll (per the usual, the liberal media bias is shining through and most media members hate us). What can you do?

Here’s a look at the top 25.

4 Florida State (5)
5 LSU (1)

10 Notre Dame
11 Ole Miss
12 Michigan State
13 TCU

16 UCLA
17 Iowa

Also of interest. This is the first time OSU has been ranked in the preseason since 2013. That year turned out pretty good. Here is the preseason as well as AP high and AP postseason ranking for every year’s team in the Mike Gundy era.

Year AP Pre AP High AP Post
2015 4 20
2014 15
2013 13 6 17
2012 19 18
2011 9 2 3
2010 10 13
2009 9 5
2008 7 16
2007
2006
2005

OSU won’t make this list this year, but my pals at CBS did a cool post on the biggest flops in recent memory in preseason AP polls. Texas!
