Oklahoma State Offers 2023 Three-star Running Back Sesi Vailahi from Utah
Vailahi also picked up a BYU offer this month.
With National Signing Day coming up Wednesday, the Cowboys coaching staff is looking to put a few finishing touches on its 2023 class.
After offering Broken Arrow offensive lineman Jamison Mejia on Monday, the Cowboys sent an offer to running back Sesi Vailahi out of Salt Lake City, Utah on Tuesday.
Listed at 5-foot-11, 190 pounds, Vailahi played at West High School in Salt Lake City. He helped the Panthers to a 9-3 record as a senior and an appearance in the state quarterfinals. He played running back and receiver for the Panthers this past season. According to MaxPreps, he had 240 rushing yards on 32 carries, 607 receiving yards on 24 catches and 13 total touchdowns. He also played defense, recording 48 tackles, four tackles for loss, 1.5 sacks, 11 pass breakups, an interception, a forced fumble and a pair of fumble recoveries.
Vailahi is a three-star prospect in the 247Sports Composite rankings, listed as the No. 2,045 player in the class and the No. 135 running back. OSU isn’t the only Big 12 team after his services as BYU, joining the Big 12 next season, offered Vailahi on Jan. 18. He also holds offers from Nevada, Utah State, Idaho State and Southern Utah.
The Cowboys haven’t taken a high school running back in the 2023 class, but they did add Michigan State transfer Elijah Collins after losing a commitment from Sean Tyler.
