Who Is He?
Listed at 6-foot-7, 180 pounds, Pate plays at L.G. Pinkton High School in Dallas. He made a brief stint at national power Prolific Prep in California last season before returning home. He averaged 17.7 points as a freshman in 2020-21 en route to earning Newcomer of the Year honors from The Dallas Morning News.
Pate is playing with the Oklahoma based Team Trae Young on the Adidas AAU circuit this spring and summer. Pate also trains with former Oklahoma State guard (and NBA champion) Terrel Harris.
