Oklahoma State QB Nyc Burns Transferring to NAIA School
Oklahoma State quarterback Nyc Burns, a freshman out of Tulsa, Oklahoma recently announced his intentions to transfer away from OSU citing financial reasons. The walk-on quarterback from Berryhill was paying his own way for a chance to make it at OSU, but decided he didn’t want to carry the financial burden.

Southwestern College is a small, private NAIA school in Winfield, Kansas.
With his talent and experience at OSU, I wouldn’t be surprised to see him starting for the Moundbuilders as soon as they find a helmet size for him.
Because Burns was a walk-on at OSU, NCAA rules do not require that he sit out a year after transferring. So don’t be surprised to see him trotting out as QB1 for the Moundbuilders when they start their season in 2017.
