Oklahoma State Safety Kanion Williams Enters Transfer Portal
Williams contributed quite a bit on special teams the past few seasons.
Kanion Williams, a senior safety, becomes the third scholarship Oklahoma State player to enter the transfer portal on Monday — the portal’s opening day.
Williams, a senior entering the portal as a graduate transfer, has played a major role on Oklahoma State’s special teams the past few seasons, playing 115 total snaps in 2022 with the majority of those being on special teams. On the season, he has six tackles. Williams is highly thought of in the OSU locker room, as he was voted a team captain for the Cowboys’ Fiesta Bowl-winning 2021 season.
Listed at 6-foot, 190 pounds, Williams came to Oklahoma State as a three-star prospect in the 2018 class. Out of Dallas, Williams picked Oklahoma State over offers from Arizona, Arizona State, Missouri, Houston and others.
Williams finishes his Oklahoma State career with 36 total tackles.
He joins defenders Mason Cobb and Na’Drian Dizadare as the first three scholarship Cowboys in the portal since it opened Monday.
