The Cowboys held a scrimmage on Saturday as they prep for next weekend’s spring game.

Media wasn’t permitted into this weekend’s festivities, but Oklahoma State shared some highlights from the day that will certainly get you fired up for the upcoming season.

The first was a touchdown off a swing pass from Drew Mestemaker to UNT transfer running back Dennis Moody III. Moody tried his best Ollie Gordon impersonation in an attempt to jump over would-be tackler Ethan Wesloski, but Wesloski met him where he was before Moody was able to crowd surf into the end zone.

Moody took a redshirt at UNT last season after transferring from North Alabama, He finished the 2024 season with 61 carries for 249 yards.

Highlight No. 2 came courtesy of UNT transfer receiver Miles Coleman. You can’t tell who threw the ball, but Coleman glided under it and beat the defense all the way to the end zone. Honestly, give safety Jeremy Cook credit for keeping up with the speedster in the sprint to the pylon.

A high school classmate of Mestemaker’s, Coleman brought in 47 receptions for 550 yards and two touchdowns this past season with the Mean Green.

Up next comes another deep ball, as Mestemaker was able to hit the 6-foot-5 Justin Bowick on a go-route down the sideline. OSU fans will hope to see this plenty come the fall.

Highlights from the day will probably continue into tomorrow, but we’ll leave you with Caleb Hawkins going Marshawn Lynch-esque beast mode. For the time being, we’re just going to ignore what was a bad rep of tackling and celebrate the run.
