The Cowboys earned a much-needed rebound on Saturday, downing the hapless Jayhawks of Kansas 48-28 during the Rock Chalk Homecoming. For their efforts the Pokes climbed back into the AP top 25, landing at No. 25. They were stagnant in the Coaches poll, remaining at No. 21.

Oklahoma State had climbed all the way up to No. 15 in both the Coaches and AP polls after what we were calling a signature win over Boise State in Week 3. An embarrassing home loss to Texas Tech — who just put in enough effort not to get routed by West Virginia on Saturday — dropped the Pokes out of the ranking.

Several Big 12 teams saw some movement in the polls, as well. West Virginia stepped into the top 10 after beating then-No. 25 Texas Tech. The Red Raiders has a sip of coffee in the top 25 after pummeling OSU a week before. Texas dropped from No. 18 to 19 after coasting to a win over a suddenly inept K-State team. Oklahoma dropped from 6th to 7th after letting Baylor hang around a little too long before cruising to its fifth win of the year.
