Oklahoma State Top Football Target Making Official Visit This Weekend
Oklahoma State’s top target on the gridiron is making his official visit to Stillwater this weekend for the Texas Tech game. The top target, Evan Fields, is a safety and supreme athlete from Midwest City, OK, with offers from K-State, OSU, and high interest from the Sooners. He made his official visit to Manhattan last weekend, where he saw the Pokes come from behind to topple the Wildcats.
Official visits are paid for by the university, which means they are able to roll out the red carpet to try and impress the recruit. So far, so good on that front. Here’a a pic of his room during the visit.

The 6-foot-2, 190-pound prospect from Mike Gundy’s alma mater is a bit of a late bloomer on the recruiting front. Although OSU just jumped in recently, make no mistake he is one of the most wanted prospects by the OSU staff. With good reason, he’s a hard-hitting safety with excellent cover skills who would make a perfect fit on the back end of Glenn Spencers defense.
With OSU set to lose Jordan Sterns and Derrick Moncrief at safety this year, they need someone to come in and contribute immediately at safety. Fields certainly fits that mold.
