The Cowboys will play a bowl in Arizona for consecutive years.

Oklahoma State will face Wisconsin in the Guaranteed Rate Bowl. It will be the first time the two programs have met.

Here are the details about the game.

When: 9:15 p.m. CST, Tuesday, Dec. 27
Where: Chase Field, Phoenix, Arizona
Watch: ESPN

Wisconsin turned in a 6-6 season and finished 4-5 in conference, landing fifth in the Big Ten West.

A year after taking home a Fiesta Bowl last year, the Cowboys will be in the Fiesta Bowl-lite just down the road. Starting in the 2020-21 season and continuing through 2025-26, the Guaranteed Rate Bowl has a contracted affiliation between the Big 12 and the Big Ten.

It was originally called the Copper Bowl when the bowl commenced in 1989 and it went through stints as the Insight.com Bowl, the Insight Bowl, the Buffalo Wild Wings Bowl, Cactus Bowl and Cheez-It Bowl (not that Cheez-It Bowl) before it took the current moniker in 2020. The first Guaranteed Rate Bowl was canceled due to Covid.

Oklahoma State is 2-0 in previous versions of the Guaranteed Rate Bowl, topping Washington in the 2015 Cactus Bowl and Indiana in the 2007 Insight Bowl.
