OSU a Big Underdog vs. Iowa State in Week 8
The Pokes are 2-0 this season as underdogs.
OSU is 2-0 on the season as an underdog with wins on the road against Boise State and most recently against Texas, but its Week 8 road tilt against Iowa State — at least in the view of oddsmakers — is its toughest test to date.
The Cowboys are 7-point underdogs, according to updated lines at Vegas Insider from Caesars Palace and William Hill. They opened as 6.5-point dogs, but the line has moved in favor of Iowa State since it first opened.
This is the largest spread OSU has faced thus far in the season after the line closed with it being underdogs by 3.5 points against both Boise State and Texas. In both games OSU won, but both were single-digit, close shave wins. Still, if OSU can keep that trend rolling on Saturday it would improve to 7-0 for the first time since 2015 and the fourth time under Mike Gundy.
