OSU Again Wins Bedlam Series, Top Bedlam Moments from the School Year
OSU’s best Bedlam moments from the school year.
The Sooners haven’t won an all-sport Bedlam series since Taylor Cornelius was slinging the pill for the Pokes.
Oklahoma State went 15-10 against Oklahoma this past school year, as the Cowboys/Cowgirls have won five of the past six Bedlam series with the only one they didn’t win ending in a tie. Since the 2013-14 season, OSU has won the series 10 times to OU’s 1.
The series is calculated by straight wins and losses in head-to-head competition.
This was the first year the two state schools didn’t share a conference with the Sooners officially leaving for the SEC, but there was still plenty of Bedlam action. Here are some of the best Bedlam moments for OSU from the past school year.
Witcraft Sticks Belton
Reece Witcraft found himself down 8-1 to Cleveland Belton in the Dec. 13 wrestling dual, but Witcraft is almost more dangerous when he needs a big move.
Belton dropped to his knees following a half-shot from Witcraft before the Cowboy quickly went to the upper body and threw the Sooner to his back and pinned him.

OSU beat OU 35-3 in David Taylor’s Bedlam debut with Troy Spratley, Witcraft, Cameron Amine, Dustin Plott and Wyatt Hendrickson all scoring bonus points.
August W
OSU got the Bedlam Ws started early.
Back on Aug. 22, the Cowgirl soccer team beat OU 1-0 off the back of a goal from freshman Bella Pierotti. It was the first goal in her college career.

Matchplay W en Route to National Title
The match-play format of the NCAA Championship has hurt the Cowboys in the past (like in 2019 when they clobbered the field in stroke play but fell in a match to Texas), but the format made for an awesome story for the Pokes in 2025.
OSU finished fourth in the stroke-play portion of the event, and the Sooners finished a stroke behind in fifth. That set up a dual between the two in the first round of match play.
Not only did the Cowboys (a team made up of five underclassmen) beat the Sooners, but they went on to win their 12th NCAA title in program history.
Preston Stout finished the Sooners’ season with this long birdie putt.

Cowgirl Tennis Beats OU in NCAA Tournament
The Cowboy golf team wasn’t the only OSU squad to end an OU season.
Cowgirl tennis traveled down to Norman for the first two rounds of the NCAA Championship in what turned out to be a defacto state tournament.
After OSU beat Tulsa 4-0 in Round 1, the Cowgirls met the host Sooners.
OU went up 2-0 before the Cowgirls rattled off four straight singles wins from Melisa Ercan, Anastasiya Komar, Rose Marie Nijkamp and Gracie Epps to move on and end OU’s year.
