Leikam had a 1.97 ERA this past season.
The Cowboys have added a solid lefty from the Division-II ranks.
North Greenville University transfer Ben Leikam announced that he was committed to Oklahoma State on Thursday. Listed at 6-foot-3, 210 pounds, Leikam threw 32 innings this past season, where he posted a 1.97 ERA with an opponent batting average of .171.

Out of Colorado, Leikam was on Wichita State’s roster in 2024 but didn’t play before making the move to North Greenville. He threw six innings there as a redshirt freshman in 2025, giving up seven earned runs in that stretch.
His 2026 season included 20 appearances and four starts. He had a 4-0 record and struck out 42 to 20 walks. He allowed just five extra-base hits this past season.
When Leikam was coming out of Valor Christian in Colorado, Perfect Game considered him the top lefty in the state and a Top 15 Coloradoan in his class. He was a First Team All-State selection as a high school senior in 2023, leading his squad to a state title with a 1.59 ERA.
According to Baseball Reference, Leikam has thrown twice for the Kingsport Axmen in the Appalachian Summer League this year. Across six total innings, he has a 1.50 ERA.
Leikam becomes the fourth transfer pickup the Cowboys have made this offseason and the third who pitches. He joins Kaden Soder (Utah) and Tyler Wood (Wake Forest) as transfer pitchers. OSU has also added Morehead State transfer Aubrey Kearns, who hit .387 this past season.
