Steve Lutz is back to square one in recruiting his 2025 class.

Carlsheon Young announced on Monday that he decommitted from Oklahoma State and re-opened his recruitment. He had committed to OSU way back in October when Mike Boynton was still leading the Cowboys but recently told PFB he was still following through with that commitment. Young was the first and only commit the Pokes had for the 2025 class so far. Boynton had jumped on Young early as the first major program to offer the in-state prospect.

Young, who has played at Putnam City West and Newcastle, is a three-star combo guard, according to 247Sports, which also ranks Young as the top recruit in the state. He is the 173rd prospect in the class, according to the site.

At 6-foot-4, Young also has offers from Kansas, Oklahoma, Missouri, TCU, Utah and others.
