OSU moves up in both polls.

Oklahoma State continued its winning ways with a blowout home win over Kansas. That might not move the needle nationally on its own, but some upheaval ahead of the Pokes allowed for an incremental climb in both of the other polls outside the College Football Playoff rankings.

OSU moved up three spots to No. 22 in the AP poll and broke into the Amway Coaches poll at No. 23. The Cowboys haven’t been ranked by the coaches poll since their loss to Texas Tech in Week 6.

Here’s a look at the full AP top 25 for Week 13.

Rank Team
1 LSU
2 Ohio State
3 Clemson
4 Georgia
5 Alabama
6 Oregon
7 Utah
8 Oklahoma
9 Penn State
10 Florida
11 Minnesota
12 Michigan
13 Baylor
14 Wisconsin
15 Notre Dame
16 Auburn
17 Cincinnati
18 Memphis
19 Iowa
20 Boise State
21 SMU
22 Oklahoma State
23 Appalachian State
24 Texas A&M
25 Virginia Tech

That means the Big 12 has just three teams in the AP poll, with Iowa State knocking No. 22 Texas out of the rankings. Iowa State is effectively 27th with 31 votes and Texas received six votes. Oklahoma climbed two spots to No. 8 after its comeback win at Baylor and the Bears dropped one place to No. 13.

The Cowboys broke into the AP top 25 last week at No. 25 despite not playing a football game. They were the first team out (26th) of the coaches poll.

The College Football Playoff committee — the poll that actually matters — has ranked OSU in each of its two polls so far with the Pokes debuting at No. 23 and then moving up to No. 22 in last week’s ranking.

The CFP announces its next top 25 on Tuesday night.
