OSU sneaks back in at No. 25.

It was a wild weekend in college football that saw several ranked teams lose in upset. That upheaval allowed for Oklahoma State to sneak back into the AP top 25 for the first time since the Cowboys’ Week 6 loss to Baylor — despite sitting out in a rare November  off week.

Here’s a look at the Week 12 poll.

Rank Team
1 LSU
2 Ohio State
3 Clemson
4 Alabama
5 Georgia
6 Oregon
7 Minnesota
8 Utah
9 Penn State
10 Oklahoma
11 Florida
12 Baylor
13 Auburn
14 Michigan
15 Wisconsin
16 Notre Dame
17 Cincinnati
18 Memphis
19 Boise State
20 SMU
21 Navy
22 Texas
23 Iowa
24 Indiana
25 Oklahoma State

This comes one week after the College Football Playoff committee included the Pokes in its first weekly ranking, with OSU debuting at No. 23. The Cowboys are the first team out of the Amway Coaches poll with 49 votes, good for 26th.

The Cowboys welcome Kansas and then head to West Virginia for a couple of chances to build upon back-to-back wins and rise in the rankings before a home finale against OU. This sets up for a ranked-on-ranked Bedlam for the fourth time in five years and eighth time in the last 10. And those, to me, are just more fun.

Around the Big 12

No. 16 Kansas State slipped back out of the top 25 after losing to then-unranked Texas. The Longhorns are back in at No. 22. OU stays at No. 9 after escaping 42-41 to Iowa State. Baylor remains at No. 12, as as the league’s lone unbeaten team, after a wild triple-overtime win over TCU on the road.
