OSU Football: DE Xavier Ross, FB Jake Schultz Announce Cowboy Return

The big announcement on Thursday wasn’t the only bit of good news Cowboy coaches received this week.

It looks like a couple of other Cowboys will be running it back with Alan Bowman, Ollie Gordon, Brennan Presley and others.

Hours after it was announced that Alan Bowman was granted an extra year of eligibility and would be running it back in 2024, senior defensive end Xavier Ross tweeted out his intention to join him.

Ross appeared in all 14 games as a redshirt senior in 2023, racking up 11 tackles, 3.5 tackles for loss and a sack. He also blocked a kick against Kansas.

Cowboy fullback Jake Schultz announced that he would be around next season, as well. He appeared in all 14 games, catching one pass and recording one tackle, but could be in line for increased production stepping in for outgoing redshirt senior Braden Cassity.
