No, Mike Gundy isn’t going anywhere.

A Zillow listing for an $8 million home in Stillwater, which you can see here, went viral this weekend because many presumed it belonged to Oklahoma State’s football coach. Gundy confirmed Tuesday at his news conference during spring practice that he and his wife, Kristen, put their home on the market. That doesn’t mean Gundy is leaving Stillwater, though, nor does it have anything to do with his job status. Gundy estimates his family has lived there for about 13 years, but since, their three sons have grown up and recently moved out.

“Times have changed since then,” Gundy said. “It’s just a big place for two people. Somebody else needs to be able to enjoy it at some point. …

“It’s too big of a house for two people. It needs to be for a young family that has a lot of energy and wants to be on a ranch and goof around and have a swimming pool and all that stuff. That’s kind of past my time at this point.”

The $8 million home is 13,853 square feet, according to the Zillow listing, with six bedrooms and eight bathrooms. The home includes a theater room, home gym and a bedroom decorated to resemble an OSU locker room. The dwelling also sits on about 110 acres that features a backyard pool area and pond. PFB published a look inside Gundy’s home nine years ago when a fan paid for an experience called Xtreme Camp that was at Gundy’s place and documented the experience. The home was valued at [only] $1.8 million then.

“I have a lot of privacy out there,” Gundy said. “I like that. Like if I wanna get up in the middle of the night and go out in the front yard, take the dogs out, I don’t have to care who’s out there. You can take that wherever you want.”

Since leading his team to the Big 12 championship game this past season, Gundy has accomplished the task of keeping most of that team in Stillwater, including returning Doak Walker Award winner Ollie Gordon. Now this offseason, Gundy must sell an $8 million house.

“Any buyers, I’ll show you,” Gundy said.
