OSU Getting Elite Talent in SG Lindy Waters
Oklahoma State is getting an incredibly talented shooting guard in Norman North standout Lindy Waters III, who has already signed with the Cowboys.
Waters, a 6-foot-6 guard, has a unique skillset to finish with force around the basket, and an incredible touch from outside, too. He was ranked as a concensus four-star prospect with offers from Butler, Iowa State, Oklahoma, Stephen F. Austin, and many others.
Check out some of his highlights from the state tournament and see for yourself. His team finished second place in the state tournament, but thanks to Waters, along with 2017 standout point guard Trae Young, his team was in great position to win the title until a last second bucket put Norman North on the wrong side of Putnam City West.
With the departure of Jeff Newberry and big upside of Waters, I think there’s a chance he’ll have a shot to make an impression early in Stillwater. With a new coaching staff, everyone starts from scratch. Perhaps Waters can use that to his advantage and find himself a meaningful role in Brad Underwoods inaugural season.
