OSU Hoops: Cowboys Headed to Spain for Exhibition Games
The Cowboys are headed abroad this summer.

The Cowboys will spend part of their summer abroad.
According to a report from CBS Sports’ Matt Norlander, Oklahoma State’s men’s basketball team will play exhibition games in Spain this August.
No other information is yet available on when or who the Cowboys will be playing.
This isn’t the first time Mike Boynton has taken his team overseas. Ahead of his second year at the helm, Boynton took his 2018-19 team on a 10-day European trip to visit Venice and Rome in Italy and Athens, Greece. The Cowboys went 2-1, falling to the Italian National B team before victories over Netherlands and the Greek All-Stars.
These trips not only allow for more practice and experience ahead of the season. With a roster that’s set to like vastly different than last season, it will provide some team-building opportunities for OSU.
There were a couple of other scheduling announcements — albeit much less exotic — reported for the Cowboys’ upcoming season.
According to college hoops analyst Rocco Miller, the Cowboys will host Oral Roberts on Dec. 16 in Stillwater, will host South Carolina State on Dec. 31 and will also travel to Southern Illinois at some point in the 2023-24 season.
