OSU Lands Commitment from Junior College OL Recruit Jarrett Henry
OSU fills a need along its OL for next season.
Oklahoma State landed its third commitment in as many days on Sunday as junior college recruit Jarrett Henry, a 6-foot-6, 305-pound tackle, announced he has committed to the Cowboys.
Henry brings instant eligibility to OSU and has three years remaining, potentially slotting in as depth — or even, if OSU is lucky — as a contender to earn snaps at the tackle spot that OSU is trying to backfill with the loss of Caleb Etienne to the portal.
“I am humbled at the opportunities that were offered to me,” said Henry on Twitter. “With that being said, I am 110% committed to Oklahoma State University.”
Henry visited OSU this spring and reported offers from Bryant, Campbell, Tarleton State, Lamar, Middle Tennessee State, Syracuse and Texas State. He does not have a recruiting profile and, thus, no stars by recruiting services, which is not uncommon for junior college prospects who bloom late.
Henry joins 2024 recruit Caleb Hackleman and 2024 linebacker Jaylen Boardley among prospects to commit over the weekend to OSU. He will join OSU on the 2023 roster filling an immediate need at the tackle spot that was thinned out earlier in the week with Caleb Etienne, who started every game last season, entering the portal.
