OSU Linebacker Justin Wright Announces He’ll Be Out until Week 5 with Injury
OSU’s Week 5 matchup is Kansas State.

The Cowboys will be without a defensive contributor for the rest of the month.
Oklahoma State’s Justin Wright announced via Twitter on Sunday night that he will be out until Week 5 after suffering an injury in Oklahoma State’s 27-13 victory against Central Arkansas on Saturday. That means Wright would miss OSU’s games at Arizona State, vs. South Alabama and at Iowa State before returning for the Cowboys’ Oct. 6 tilt against Kansas State. Wright did not mention what he had injured, but apparently it could have been worse.
A transfer from Tulsa, Wright was listed alongside Nickolas Martin with an OR at middle linebacker on OSU’s first depth chart. Martin got the start Saturday, but Wright entered not too far into the game, playing nine defensive snaps, according to Pro Football Focus.
Wright transferred to Stillwater after a successful five-year stint at Tulsa that saw him record 254 total tackles, 27.5 tackles for loss, 7.5 sacks, four interceptions, two forced fumbles and four fumble recoveries.
With Wright out, expect a heavier dose of Martin. A redshirt sophomore from Texarkana, Texas, Martin had three tackles, including two tackles for loss and a sack Saturday.
