OSU O-Line Commit Cade Bennett Already Has Some Nasty Highlights This Season
This Cowboy pledge has a mean streak.
Offensive line highlights are usually highly technical.
Things like hand placement and footwork are analyzed, and it can be a bit dull to the uninformed. That stuff is undeniably important, but anyone can get excited over Cade Bennett’s highlights from the past couple of weeks.
Bennett, an Arizona native, committed to Oklahoma State in May and gave a raving review of offensive line coach Charlie Dickey. One thing Dickey’s current crop of linemen have brought up is the emphasis of being nasty. Bennett is definitely that, not getting the defender he is locked onto a moment of rest until the whistle stops the play.
Although recruiting sites have Bennett listed as a tackle, he plays right guard with Notre Dame Prep. He has been a menace when pulling and having a running start at a poor soul. He has proved just as nasty with some zone blocks, though.
Here is Bennett in Notre Dame Prep’s most recent win, a 41-14 victory against Sunnyslope:
And here is the human pancake machine’s highlights from his season-opening, 49-6 victory against Fairfax:
Bennett and Notre Dame Prep will look to start the season 3-0 on Friday night against Gilbert.
