OSU Offensive Line Target Jaylan Jeffers Commits to Oregon
OSU missed on Jeffers, but has several it is eyeing at OT.
In a stunningly well-done video posted to his Twitter on Wednesday, Arizona offensive line recruit Jaylan Jeffers, a three-star prospect who has been on OSU’s radar since the spring, committed to Oregon over OSU, LSU, Arizona State, Michigan and others.
Jeffers said in his video he’s been to a number of great places and even mashed up some OSU film, but, he said, “There was one place that really stood out.”

The 6-foot-6, 260 pound tackle from Saguaro visited OSU back in June on an official basis as part of a visit-spree that included Colorado and Oregon, but Eugene and all it has to offer made a strong impression on him.
“They all have great energy all the time,” he told Oregon Live. “The players love to be there. It’s not a one-sided thing, where a few people are bought in. It seems like everybody is pretty bought in.”
Since offering him a scholarship this spring, OSU has planted seeds elsewhere, especially in recent weeks as it became apparent he was leaning heavily in favor of Oregon. While OSU has three OL commitments in the 2020 class, it’s likely they’ll take at least one more — ideally at the tackle spot to complement guard pledges Trent Pullen and Eli Russ as well as tackle commit Cade Bennett.
