Oklahoma State made an offer Tuesday to one of the best junior college running backs in America in the Class of 2021. Hours later, the staff followed that up with an offer to one of the best running backs from the high school ranks in the Class of 2022.

Four-star recruit Le’Veon Moss, from Louisiana, reported his OSU offer Tuesday evening on the heels of the Tiyon Evans offer. The offer gives OSU an early track to be in the mix for a player considered to be one of the best national prospects at his position.

247Sports rates Moss — a 5-foot-11, 182-pound back — as the No. 6 player at RB in 2022 and No. 51 overall in the national rankings. (His name is also Le’Veon and he plays running back, so by law he must be very good.)

OSU isn’t first to take notice. Ole Miss and Alabama also offered him a scholarship this month, and LSU, Mississippi State and Memphis have done so since the new year after a breakout sophomore campaign that saw him draw comparisons Travis Etienne.

Moss is part of an OSU initiative to drum up running back interest in 2022, in what will be a key class to get talent at the position. Already, the staff has handed out more than a half-dozen offers to players, headlined by Raleek Brown, an OU lean from California considered a top-25 national talent. Five of the other early offers — outside Moss and Brown — hail from Texas.

Here’s a look at the highlight reel from Moss’ sophomore season — a 13-minute tour de force posted just days before his national blow-up of interest to kick off the calendar year.
