Power Forward Signee Tyrek Coger Begins New Journey in Stillwater
Brad Underwood’s last minute addition to the 2016 class is officially in Stillwater, according to Tyrek Coger’s twitter page. Coger, a 6-foot-9 power forward who committed to OSU last week, did not meet SEC transfer requirements and was forced to open his recruitment up after planning to play out his final years at Ole Miss.
Nc it's been a long journey but today is the day I take off for school time to start this new chapter in my life ????✈️

Coger is a skilled big man who averaged more than 12 points per game last season for Cape Fear Community College, and should make an immediate impact for Brad Underwood. With his junior college experience and already nicely filled out frame, the Cowboys will put him to work early in Stillwater.
“They think I can be a big impact at the 4 to rebound, pass, score — basically a threat in the back court,” Coger told Pistols Firing shortly after his commitment.
After opening his recruitment last week, he reportedly garnered around 25 scholarship offers from schools across the country. He narrowed his list down to four schools: OSU, K-State, Charlotte, and Rutgers. And after his first visit to Stillwater, Underwood shut down the recruitment and Coger committed shortly after the visit.
