The Cowboys moved to 5-1 after a come-from-behind win over Kansas State on the road. But the gritty 2-point victory didn’t help them climb any higher in the minds of top 25 voters.

OSU remained at No. 14 for consecutive weeks in the AP poll and dropped from 12 to 13 in the Amway Coaches poll.

Let’s take a look at both Week 10 polls.

AP Poll   Coaches Poll Team
1 Alabama 1 Alabama
2 Notre Dame 2 Notre Dame
3 Ohio State 3 Ohio State
4 Clemson 4 Clemson
5 Texas A&M 5 Florida
6 Florida 6 Texas A&M
7 Cincinnati 7 Cincinnati
8 Brigham Young 8 Brigham Young
9 Miami (FL.) 9 Miami (FL.)
10 Indiana 10 Indiana
11 Oregon 11 Georgia
12 Georgia 12 Oregon
13 Wisconsin 13 Oklahoma State
14 Oklahoma State 14 Wisconsin

25 Louisiana-Lafayette 25 Army

Formerly No. 1 Clemson dropped just three spots in each poll after its 47-40 double-overtime loss to Notre Dame, causing a shuffling in the top 4. Georgia also fell several places after its loss to Florida.

Big 12 in the Polls

Just behind the Cowboys in the Big 12 are Iowa State (17/16), Oklahoma (18/18) and Texas (21/24). The Cyclones survived against Baylor, Oklahoma KUed Kansas and Texas held off West Virginia. All four of those ranked Big 12 teams are off next week.

With both in-state teams entering a bye week, we’re in store for the ninth ranked-on-ranked Bedlam in Mike Gundy’s career. Seven of those have been top 20 matchups.
