OSU Running Back Target Kiefer Sibley Sets Official Visit to Stillwater
OSU is trying to close on a big-time Texas RB talent.
One of the top targets for OSU at running back in the 2024 cycle is showing reciprocated interest in the Cowboys with an official visit date locked in later this summer.
Three-star back Kiefer Sibley, a rising senior from Connally, Texas, is set to visit Stillwater (again) June 22-24 for an official visit per 247Sports, this coming after an unofficial visit to Stillwater earlier this spring.
Sibley was offered by OSU coach John Wozniak and the staff back in February that led to an unofficial visit the first day of April. The return visit clearly means he liked what he saw, and OSU has kept at it in recruiting him despite already landing a 2024 running back commit in in-state standout Rodney Fields.
A 5-foot-8, 175-pound athlete, Sibley is a bit undersized but profiles as a multi-dimensional back who brings speed and pass-catching to the position. Like many other OSU targets, he’s a multi-sport standout who also runs track, and was part of a regional qualifying relay team this past season in the 4×200. He clocked a blazing 11.87 in the 100-meter dash as a junior last year to boot. He also plays on the Connally basketball team.
Behind Sibley, the Connally Cadets football team went 9-3 this past season. Sibley ran for 2,291 yards and 29 touchdowns as a junior, running for 200+ yards in five games. He put up ridiculous numbers in Connally’s 58-35 win against Salado in October, rushing for 426 yards and seven touchdowns.
OSU has shown a keen interest in taking multiple running back commitments in the 2024 cycle alongside the aforementioned Fields, with Sibley one of several targets on the wish list. In-state standout Xavier Robinson from Carl Albert and Bishop Gorman star Micah Kaapana are also on the big board for the Pokes, with both showing interest in the school and still drawing suitors from across the country.
