OSU Softball: Cowgirls Land 6 Seed, Will Host Stillwater Regional
The Cowgirls are still on pace to host a Super Regional.
Despite a poor showing in OKC, the Cowgirls have a direct path to get back there.
Oklahoma State landed the 6 seed in the NCAA Tournament on Sunday despite not winning a game in over two weeks.
OSU lost five straight to finish the year, including an 8-7 loss to Kansas in the weather-altered Big 12 Tournament, but is set to host a Super Regional if the Cowgirls play their cards right.
The Cowgirls are 41-14 on the season and 10-8 in Big 12, but they finished their regular season with three-straight losses to No. 1 Oklahoma.
The No. 6 seed, OSU will host Wichita State, Nebraska and UMBC this coming weekend, May 19-21.
OSU lost to Wichita State 3-1 on April 18 in Stillwater and 8-7 in Wichita on April 4. The Shockers were nationally ranked in both meetings.
