OSU Wrestling: Keegan Moore and Gary Wayne Harding to Transfer

Published

on

Today it was announced by IAWrestle.com that Keegan Moore would be transferring to the University of Northern Iowa. The former Cowboy and NCAA qualifier would have been a sophomore at OSU and will stay in the Big 12 as he moves to wrestle for Northern Iowa and Doug Schwab.

A few weeks ago we shared that Dakota Geer would be transferring here and vying for a spot as the starter at 184. There were some rumbles that Moore wasn’t exactly pleased with that move.

As noted the Cowboys have added Geer to the roster, along with returning Andrew Marsden who shared time between 184 and 197 last year. They also bring in true freshman Anthony Montalvo, who is projected as a 184 in college, and have RS freshmen Austin Harris and Bear Hughes who will both be attempting to make the Junior Greco World Team this weekend that could enter the lineup next year.

Whoever emerges as the starter will possibly see Keegan next year as UNI is a member of the Big 12 now.

Flo also announced last week Gary Wayne Harding would be on the move to UNC with Kenny Monday and Coleman Scott. The NCAA qualifier at 133 pounds a few years ago was simply in a log jam at his weight class behind a lot of talent in the Cowboy room. He should have success in Chapel Hill as he has some of the best lightweight coaches around there.
