Palm, Lunardi List Cowboys as an 8 Seed Heading into Game against Kansas
OSU is off the bubble for the first time in a long time.

The Cowboys are officially off the bubble for bracketology experts Jerry Palm of CBS Sports and Joe Lunardi of ESPN.
Lunardi on Tuesday has Oklahoma State listed as an 8 seed entering the Cowboys’ matchup with Kansas at 8 p.m. Tuesday. It’s the highest Oklahoma State has been since Lunardi started projecting brackets this season. Palm also has OSU as an 8 seed. Both Palm and Lunardi have Kansas, OSU’s opponent Tuesday, as a projected No. 1 seed.
OSU is one of eight Big 12 teams in both of their fields. Palm has two teams — Texas and Kansas — as projected 1 seeds. Lunardi’s projections are as follows:
1 — Kansas
2 — Baylor, Texas
3 — Kansas State
4 — Iowa State
6 — TCU
8 — Oklahoma State
10 — West Virginia
Palm had the Cowboys in the South Region, playing 9-seeded Rutgers in the fist round. That’s the same region as Purdue, which right now is the projected No. 1 overall seed.
Metrics-wise, Oklahoma State ranks 29th in the NET, 27th in KenPm and 23rd in ESPN’s Basketball Power Index entering Tuesday.
