Pedulla Includes OSU in Top 3, Taylor Announces Commitment Date
Could Pedulla or Taylor end up in Stillwater?
Mike Boynton seems to be closer to locking down his first commitment of the 2021 class.
Two pieces of major Oklahoma State basketball recruiting came Monday.
The first is when four-star guard Wade Taylor announced he would commit to a program at 7:30 p.m. Friday. Taylor included the Cowboys in his final five on Aug. 24.
Taylor is the No. 125 player in the 2021 class, according to 247Sports’ composite ranking system. Texas A&M, Virginia Tech, SMU and Iowa State were his other finalists. The Aggies look to be the favorite, with national recruiting analysts from 247 and Rivals predicating he ends up in College Station.
Some of those same national analysts, though, are predicting Edmond-Memorial star Sean Pedulla to end up in Stillwater.
Pedulla announced his final three Monday night of Oklahoma State, Minnesota and Virginia Tech.
Pedulla was a late-riser in the 2021 class. OSU offered him Sept. 9. He was unranked in the class until Aug. 30. He now ranks 166th of all 2021 prospects and second among Oklahomans in the class behind Trey Alexander.
Pedulla and Alexander have battled some this summer in AAU games. It has been part of Pedulla’s journey from unranked to No. 2 player in the state.
Here are highlights from a game where Pedulla took on a team of Alexander (No. 62 in 2021), Daimion Collins (No. 19 in 2021) and KJ Adams (No. 75 in 2021).
