After a busy week of Oklahoma State athletics came to a disappointing end on Saturday as the No. 6 Cowboys lost to TCU in Stillwater, it’s back at it this week with a variety of sports (including a soccer team that is now 8-1-2). Let’s take a look at what to expect.

• Friday, September 29: Soccer at TCU — 7 p.m.
• Saturday, September 30: Cross Country in Stillwater — 9:15 a.m.
• Saturday, September 30: Football at Texas Tech — 7 p.m. (FOX)
• Sat-Sun, September 30-October 1: Men’s tennis in Tulsa — All day

Oklahoma State Media Appearances

Mike Gundy have his weekly press conference on Monday at 11 a.m. We will have notes on the presser. Players and coordinators will be available on Tuesday afternoon.

PFB Coverage

Hayden Barber will be in Stillwater on Tuesday for practice. We are not sending anyone to Lubbock for the game, but we will have plenty of coverage on the site all day on Saturday.

We will provide postgame analysis, and Carson and I will do our postgame show on Facebook Live and Periscope. To get notifications, go to our Facebook page and click on the “following” as shown below:

For Periscope, you just have to make sure you’re following us. Also, Carson and I will tape two podcasts. One will be on Tuesday (hopefully with a guest), and the other will be a live show on Thursday at 2 p.m.

We will set that up so you can start sending in questions before we go live with it. You can watch it on Facebook, and then we’ll turn it into a pod later on in the day.

Contribution updates

We are up to 316 contributors. Your contributions have allowed us to bring on a couple of new writers, which has been awesome. We have a long way to go, though, and this is a long-term project. We probably need another editor, some better video equipment and a website overhaul in the next few months and years so let’s try to get to 500 by the end of the year.

If you haven’t started contributing yet, you can do so here. Just click on the icons in the middle of the post. Also, if you sign up, you will get a credit at the beginning of the following week to our newly-opened PFB Store (which we will formally announce tomorrow).

Site/Staff Updates

We have a big recruiting project deep in the works, but other than that, we will more or less bring you the same regularly-scheduled #content for the rest of the gall.

We’ve had a lot of fun trying to be creative with our content this year, and we’ve gotten good feedback on it and tried to adapt where possible.

As always we’re open to hearing from you guys for what you want to see more of — you can comment below or email us at pistolsfiringblog at gmail dot com.
