Photos: OSU Takes Big 12 Championship in Bricktown
Check out some of the best pics from a week in Bricktown.
For the second time in three seasons, Josh Holliday’s Oklahoma State club entered the Big 12 Tournament in Oklahoma City and left town with hardware in tow. The Cowboys capped an impressive weekend in Bricktown by taking out TCU and West Virginia on Sunday to capture the Big 12 title.
As if the feat wasn’t impressive enough on its own merit — and it certainly was — OSU came out victorious after having its back against the wall. The team beat TCU and Baylor in its first two days, then fell 13-6 to the Horned Frogs on Saturday. Facing elimination on Sunday, the Pokes promptly walked it off to advance to the title game.
In the championship, OSU fell behind 1-0 early before scoring three in the bottom of the ffth. From there it was smooth sailing as OSU added another pair in the bottom of the eighth to clinch a 5-2 victory.
