Poll Recap: Most OSU Fans Still Interested in March Madness

Let’s go ahead and get my feelings on March Madness out of the way now.

Yep. It’s the most wonderful time of the year! My favorite sporting event. And while the occasion is somewhat darkened by the absence of my beloved Oklahoma State Cowboys, it won’t stop me from at least enjoying the best weekend of sports, the opening two rounds.

I am ready to get absolutely no work done the next couple of days, and it seems most Oklahoma State fans are with me.

The comments leaned a bit more negative (what comment section doesn’t these days), while there were numerous, ‘I’m only watching to see OU lose to Rhode Island,’ comments.

“The tournament is too good and I love college basketball too much to miss it. I will obviously be watching the Pokes too.” – Zach McCoy

“I watch it every year and the Cowboys have never won it in my lifetime, so why would this year be any different?” – Jason Sutton

Look, I’ve already stated my opinion. The opening weekend is my favorite sporting event of the year. But I also tend to watch NIT games just because I love postseason sports. I will watch any bowl game. Seriously.

There is nothing like the NCAA tournament. Nothing like watching a team you dislike get upset or watching your “best” bracket go up in flames before Day 1 has even ended.

For those of you who will also be watching, enjoy the madness. For those who plan to skip, might I suggest Mindhunters on Netflix, Bob’s Burgers on Hulu, and Westworld on HBO.
